elementary problems running soot

Hi,

I have downloaded the latest version of soot (version
1.2.2) and am compiling it with jdk1.2.2 and am able
to make it successfully without errors. 

While trying to follow the instructions mentioned in
Soot Overview/Disassembling classfiles (by Raja), I am
not able to get the Hello.jimple file (the
Hello.jimple file contains class Hello{ }). I have
unjarred the rt.jar file as instructed, and  tried
updating the CLASSPATH, soot-class-path variable.
Also, running simply 'java soot.Main' generates the
compilation_aborted-don't know what to do after
calling printHelp (It should have called printVersion
as per the example).

How do I work around this ?
