starting ponit of learning Soot

Hello, everyone:

I am a newbie. Can anyone here share some experience
of learing Soot?. What is the starting point of
learning Soot? Which part of the documents should I
read first?
 I tried to read part of the tutorials and API but
didn't get much clue yet. It looks to me that I need
to read the source code of Soot to get a better idea
about it.
