• Postcondition of redefined method at least as strong
• Example: Employee.setSalary promises not to decrease salary
• Then Manager.setSalary must fulfill postcondition
  
• Redefined method cannot be more private.
  (Common error: omit public when redefining)
• Redefined method cannot throw more checked exceptions
